I know; I’m late. But it’s an intentional delay, if only to remind us that, if we are truly Christians, then every day should be Easter – every day should be a celebration for our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross for our sins, and, especially, His resurrection from the grave.
Better words than the Word’s? I doubt it:
...and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. – Eph. 1:19-23
…knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. – 2 Cor. 4:14
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. – 2 Timothy 2:10-11
